List Category Descriptions: SWCD is the local Soil and Water Conservation District. These SWCDs are connected with the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and also the Indiana Association of Conservation Districts. The SWCD offices also have a USDA- Natural Resources Conservation Service office assisting them. Theses offices provide technical & financial assistance for natural resource issues. Extension Office refers to the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, which provides educational assistance on a variety of individual and community issues. Biologist refers to the IDNR Div. of Fish & Wildlife-, Wildlife Biologist, who can assist with wildlife matters. Forester is another IDNR Div. of Forestry, Service Forester, who can assist with forestry matters.
